About Pickard Event Services

Pickard’s team have collectively worked in exhibitions for over 40 years. Very simply, we provide and install shell scheme, name boards, electrics and lighting options to a large range of event organisers and shows throughout the UK.

In 2016, we invested in a new 7,000 square foot warehouse, from which we also run a dry hire service, which is based just off the A1, near Harrogate.

So at the tender age of 40 I’m proud to say I have lived and breathed events since the age of 19.  Starting as an electrical apprentice on the exhibition circuit it soon became apparent that there was more to the events world than amps.  Proudly diversifying into the world of Shell Scheme Pickard Events (formerly JNM) became renowned for it’s expertise in Shell Scheme and Electrical Distribution when time constraints are upon us.

We developed the business to become an extension of the organising body and we are  loved for it! Nothing is ever too much trouble for our team, we’re here to help.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Hi, my name is Matt! I am the Operation Director in Pickard Events with over 17 years experience in the industry. I play an essential part in the running of the business  & planning the logistics of crew, vehicles & kit for each project to ensure we deliver a timely service without fail! I am also a fully qualified electrician.

Over the years I have met some really amazing people. The Events industry is more than just a job, For me it’s a lifestyle. Having the achievement of looking back and knowing ‘we built that’

I’m so proud of what we have achieved as a team and the potential that we have for the future.

Hi i’m Shane. I mainly work on site as part of the construction team, but as the company Joiner I can sometimes be found at the yard covering everything in dust making stands. I have over 30 years experience in the exhibition industry making various stands, desks and bespoke items for exhibition companies and direct customers but over the last 2 years enjoyed the freedom of working on site where I get to meet some fantastic people and when working away, stay in some amazing places.

One of the things that makes Pickards such a successful company is we are a diverse, multi skilled team with extensions to our main rolls, this being said I also hold a HGV license and drive the companies fleet of trucks, I am IOSH qualified so run site health and safety and I’m not bad with a klick key putting up shell scheme.

Outside of work I love to holiday with the family, clay pigeon shoot and watch Leeds Rhinos play.
